Erick Church (ericktul@webtv.net) has grown up listening to /watching Williams and fills us in on more of Danny's career highlights:

1953 WKY-TV: hosted children's show "Adventures of 3-D Danny".
1967 WKY-TV: hosted daytime talk show "Dannysday" lasted 17 years.
1986 Named vice president of AMI, Inc. Later named president.
1991 Elected into the Museum of the Oklahoma Historical Society.
1992 Elected into Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters HOF.

I actually appeared on "Dannysday" as a child sometime in the early 1980s. All I really remember is the big, husky man with a raspy voice talking to me and patting me on the head. It seemed as though he had a repore with children throughout his career.

Following the April 19, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Danny went on his show and gave a tremendously emotional speech basically about how evil the crime was and how resiliant Oklahomans are. The speech was broadcast on CBS radio, and on the Today show.
