At WTHU, I played Gospel Music on Sunday Mornings. During this time, there was a program called 'In Memory Of,' and featured hymms that were requested by relatives of deceased family members in the community. It was sponsored by a local funeral home, and featured readings of the obituaries. It was a standing joke around the station that people were "dying to get on the show.".
